The Spencer is a handsome Victorian Free house adjacent to Putney Heath and but a short stroll to arguably the best rowing-watching vantage points on the Thames. During the summer months it boasts extensive sturdy bench seating on the common and in the winter a cosy wood burner glows warm on the original hearth. Loved by locals but those a little farther afield please note that a No. 22 bus delivers you to their very door!
