Putney Music Festival!
- Friday 13th to Sunday 15th September 2013
Enjoy the riverside in the sun, then slip into one of the many venues to relax over a drink and some cool vibes! Now in its 16th year we aim to offer you a great range of music to suite a wide range of tastes.
This year’s line-up includes ‘The Jammed’ at the Dukes Head, playing swinging mod music, the Halfmoon Putney features ‘The London Community Gospel Choir’, rock memorial band ‘Too Rex + The Marc Bolan Radio Roadshow’, and free live jazz, Adam Masterson at Putney Station Bar, ‘Therapy’ at The Fez and acoustic guitar performers at The Spencer.
The London Community Gospel Choir recorded the World Cup anthems and the soundtrack for The Lion King, appearing with Blur, Madonna or at Glastonbury, and has been an inspiration for more than 25 years. Combining rich harmonies and invigorating vocal gymnastics, it is an infectious celebration of gospel, swing-beat, R'n'B and soul. Whatever your musical preference there’s something for you. Putney pub and restaurant venues will have live and DJ presented music in and around the town.
