"George is dreading the thought of Christmas without his father, until he finds a mysterious old ornamental pipe floating in a puddle near (our very own) London's Putney High Street. His world is turned upside down when it collides with the world of Veturlia, abode of elves who make exquisite Christmas gifts for humans. Veturlia's annual delivery is under threat from a human infiltrator, a disillusioned spell-casting Sylthastrean and their band of evil grawkins.

But why do they want the pipe and how will its safekeeping win the battle to save Christmas? A Christmas fantasy adventure featuring striking illustrations and sheet music.

Pop Up Screens showed the film ‘The Big Lebowski’ in Fulham Park with lovely caterers positioned around the edge of the park as well as a licensed bar – it was a pleasant summers evening! There was a variety of scrumptious, reasonably priced food ranged from Caribbean, Italian and probably the most addictive popcorn of London – Drum & Kernel Popcorn. However, if you’re on a budget for the evening then you are permitted to bring in your own food & drinks!

With surround sound set up in the park, everybody could hear the film regardless of how close or far away from the big inflatable screen you are seated. Ironically, 5 minutes into the screening – the inflatable screen gradually deflated and had collapsed. The friendly crowd of 200 people and warm weather made this funny situation – even funnier. The staff were incredibly attentive and solved this within 5 minutes; to which the crowd cheered! Everybody then went on to have a wonderful evening and enjoyed the comedy.

Pop Up Screens is an outdoor cinema showing open air screenings of awesome films so if you’re bored of faceless multi-screens and their sticky carpets it’s fantastic to spend a summer’s evening in the park and enjoy a proper cult movie with your friends and family!

Be sure to check out their next fantastic event that isn’t sold out yet (like the others!) showing V for Vendetta in Holborn on 30/08/2013, all details and a list of additional screenings are shown on their website - www.popupscreens.co.uk, have a look for further details!

Or why not enter the competition? Pop Up Screens have kindly given Putney Social 2 FREE tickets to see the famed  Dirty Dancing in Bishops Park, Fulham on the 7th September!
